B.C. Disclosure laws

Full Disclosure laws were incorporated by B.C. on December 31, 1994. Currently B.C. has the best disclosure legislation in North America.

B.C. Disclosure means both the MSRP (manufactured suggest retail price) and the actual selling price of the vehicle must be disclosed.  In addition, the interest rates must be calculated annually and be displayed as a annual rate.

Also, B.C. residents are allowed a one day cooling off period, whereby a contract may be canceled without any penalties.   B.C. dealers are also required to give out complete vehicle descriptions, buyout amounts and conditions, maintenance and service responsibilities, total lease cost, insurance and warranty information.
