66 GTO with a 389

GTO fans we've got a fresh one for you! Fully restored from the ground up 66 GTI 389, numbers matching and PHS documented, this platinum beauty is a tiger worth caging!  Buckets and console, automatic, deluxe interior, ride and handling package and the very rare Platinum exterior? This is one cool GTO! PPG Deltron basecoat/clearcoat paint covers all surfaces and looks a mile deep. Rally I wheels with F70x14 Firestone Wide Oval redlines replace the deluxe wheel covers and white line tires, much to the benefit of the car. Emblems, lenses and Tung Sol T3 headlight bulbs are all excellent and new. Panel gaps are tight with well fitting doors, hood and decklid. Chrome parts from bumper to bumper, including the vent window frames and mirror, were given the show treatment and look amazing.

In addition to the original body tag, we have the 1966 GTO PHS build sheet. That plus the numbers stamped into the original engine and transmission and the VIN stating this is a GTO you've got the car's authenticity down solid! We have a pile of receipts from the restoration and both body and chassis factory service manuals (originals.) Paperwork is always good to have! Open the well aligned door and take a look inside. You'll find fresh upholstery from the seats to the door panels to the carpet to the headliner. The expertly restored gauges are clear and bright, dash panels and pads are in excellent shape and chrome parts are bright and shiny.

Open the hood and find the well detailed YS code engine topped by the correct finned air cleaner and a 500cfm Carter AFB carburetor. The motor's the correct metallic blue color, the accessories are as original, markings and tags are in their proper places and a reproduction Delco R59 battery is in the corner connected via correct battery cables with spring clamps.
