1965 GTO Convertible Matching #'s !!!
For Sale 1965 GTO convertible last owner bought in 1985, 2nd registered owner; the car has the original engine (389 with tripower) automatic transmission on the column, bucket seats, with power steering and power brakes.
Engine was completely redone after purchased in 1985 and it was bore out .060 over. The engine has been out ~ three (3) times since for repainting (no other major engine work) The original 2 speed automatic transmission taken out in 1985 and replaced with a 3 speed automatic. The original transmission worked fine when it was removed (didn’t like the 2 speed too fast and too slow) and the original transmission will go with the car. The body was completely stripped down in 1990 and all fiberglass removed and painted the original color, car has been back to the body shop ~ every 4-5 years for touch up, and the convertible top was replaced in 2003 !!!!!!!
